Publisher Description

Turn your iPhone, iPad or Mac into a customizable MIDI controller. Plug in your synth, pick parameters by name, and start playing in seconds.

Condukt connects to any class-compliant USB MIDI device. No adapters. No manual CC programming. Just plug in and go.

▸ PLUG AND PLAY
Connect your synth via USB-C. Condukt recognizes it instantly. Pick parameters from a list, filter cutoff, oscillator pitch, envelope attack, and you're controlling it. No more digging through manuals for CC numbers.

▸ RUNS IN YOUR AUv3 HOST (NEW)
Load Condukt as an Audio Unit inside AUM, Loopy Pro, Logic Pro for iPad, Cubasis or Drambo. It follows host transport and tempo, so every sequencer starts on the host's downbeat. Run as many instances as you like, each with its own board, clock and patch cables, and your host project saves and restores all of it.

▸ SEVEN SEQUENCERS
Conduktor, Phrase, Drum, Arpeggiator, Turing Machine, Cartesian and Painter. Draw chords with a finger or Pencil, program a XOX drum grid with polyrhythmic track pages, or let a Turing Machine find the pattern for you. One clock runs them all.

▸ POWERED BY midi.guide
Condukt uses the midi.guide open-source database with MIDI definitions for hundreds of synths, drum machines, and effects. Community-maintained and constantly growing.

▸ BUILD YOUR OWN BOARDS
Create custom control surfaces tailored to your workflow. Sequencers, faders, crossfaders, recall buttons: arrange them however you want. Save multiple boards for different setups.

▸ DO WHAT YOUR HARDWARE CAN'T
- Add multiple LFOs to synths that only have one
- Shape any parameter with the new Step Modulator
- Control the same parameter across multiple tracks with a single fader
- Instant snapshot recall for live performance
- Sophisticated generative sequencers

▸ MULTI-DEVICE CONTROL
One board can control multiple synths simultaneously. A single "Filter" fader can adjust cutoff on your Minifreak, Digitakt, and Moog at the same time.

▸ PERFORMANCE LAYOUTS
Switch between layouts on the fly. Page 1 for sound design. Page 2 for performance. Page 3 for mixing. All within the same board.

▸ SNAPSHOT RECALL
Store and recall control settings instantly. Tap and hold to save. Quick tap to restore. Perfect for live sets. Add crossfaders and morph between saved scenes.

▸ FULLY THEMEABLE
Condukt looks as good as it works. Custom themes make your controller visually distinctive, whether you're performing on stage or filming content.

▸ WORKS WITH
Elektron (Digitakt, Syntakt, Octatrack, Analog Four, Model:Cycles, Model:Samples), Arturia (Minifreak, Microfreak, MiniBrute), Moog (Subharmonicon, DFAM, Mother-32, Matriarch), Teenage Engineering, Novation, Korg, Roland, Sequential, and hundreds more.

▸ MADE FOR MUSICIANS
Built by synthheads for synthheads. We've been working on this project for 5+ years, and Condukt is the app we always wanted. Start free with the Hello board, subscribe monthly, or buy Lifetime once and be done. No account required. Just plug in and play.

Version History Condukt 1.7 puts a keyboard on your board.

KEYS
A playable, polyphonic keyboard control bound to an instrument. Lay it out as a piano or a pad grid (Sequential, Fourths, Thirds, Fifths, Octave, Guitar), in sizes up to 5x3. Pick a root and scale, then choose what out-of-scale notes do: Highlight, Disable, Hide or Fold. Latch notes, slide across pads, and play lower on a pad for more velocity. Keys has notes, gate, trigger and velocity outputs plus a transpose input, so it can drive a Recorder or a sequencer, and it can follow external harmony. Works in the AUv3 too.

MIDI LEARN
The Add Control sheet now starts with MIDI Learn. Turn a knob on your synth and it shows up in the list, tap it to add a fader. Synths in the midi.guide database show real parameter names, NRPN and 14-bit CC are detected, and moving one stage of an envelope offers the whole envelope as a control.

ALSO
Popovers follow the board theme. Duplicating or reassigning a page opens an instrument picker. Boards with XY pads or many sequencers stay fluid. Tapping notes, moving faders and rolling dice no longer save the board mid-performance.

FIXES
Synths plugged in after launch are detected again. Root notes in the scale picker are reachable on iPhone. Boards with a duplicated page no longer crash on open. Conduktor edits are no longer lost after closing a board. Board thumbnails no longer stay blank or swap between boards. 1.7 13h ago Condukt goes modular.

FLOW CONTROLS
A new family of 20+ patchable logic modules: Clock Divider and Multiplier, Sample & Hold, Shift Delay, Probability, Multiply, Map, Clamp, Accumulator, Greater Than, and three note machines. Note Pool picks notes from a pool. Phrase Memory learns a phrase, loops it and mutates it over time. Note Out plays whatever reaches it on any instrument. Sample boards on the home screen show how to wire them up.

PATCHING
Every control now has labeled input and output jacks. Tap an OUT pill, tap a target port, and the cable runs port to port with an arrowhead showing direction. LFOs, Step Modulators, XY pads, sequencers and modules all patch into each other. Edit mode dims control content so the wiring is what you see.

RECALLS
Launch Quantize fires a scene on the next beat or bar, under external clock too. A new Trigger input lets the board fire scenes on its own: a Clock Divider advances sections every N bars, a Probability makes the arrangement generative. Recalls lock after the first store so a stray hold can't overwrite a scene. Trigger Key bindings for hardware keyboards. All of it works in the AUv3 as well.

RECORDER
A large layout with a real piano roll. Rotate, quantize, transpose and delete on a selection or the whole tape, with undo. Velocity editing right on the roll. REC arm modes: Next Pass, Punch In, Auto. Export as MIDI. Recorder, MIDI Input, faders and crossfaders now have ports, so a recorder can tape another recorder and live keyboard notes can flow into Phrase Memory.

CONTEXT MENUS
Right-click or two-finger click any control, page button or the Edit Board button for its actions, in performance mode as well as Edit.

BOARDS TRAVEL WITH THEIR INSTRUMENTS
A .condukt file now carries each instrument's device, channel and parameters. Import it on another device and the instruments are created for you, with a setup sheet if something can't be matched.

ALSO
Hardware keyboard shortcuts (Cmd+B and Cmd+I for tabs, Cmd+1 to 9 for surfaces, Cmd+Return for Edit, Cmd+Plus and Minus for zoom). 1.25x and 1.75x zoom levels. Boards open about two thirds faster. The AUv3 follows your theme. The Add Control sheet on Mac opens much faster. 1.6 Sep 21 Condukt is now an AUv3 plugin: load your boards in AUM or Logic and let the host drive transport and tempo. Plus the Step Modulator, a paintable row of clocked CC sliders, and a beefed-up Drum sequencer with named pads, mute/solo, polymeters, and pattern shift. 1.5 Aug 24 This update adds two brand-new ways to sequence: Painter, where you draw your part onto a grid, and a Drum Sequencer with a classic trig-grid workflow.

PAINTER: SEQUENCE BY DRAWING

Painter is a polyphonic sequencer you play by drawing. Add it to any board and paint notes straight onto the grid. It's chord-quantized, so everything you draw snaps to the chord you pick and stays musical even when you're just doodling. Press harder with an Apple Pencil for louder steps (each pill's opacity shows its velocity), scrub through the loop by hand, and replace, erase, or mute individual steps as you go. The Recorder can capture a painted part and export it as MIDI like anything else.

THE DRUM SEQUENCER: A TRIG GRID FOR YOUR RHYTHMS

A new XOX-style step sequencer built for drums and rhythmic parts. Each track gets its own note row and 16 steps per page. Swipe across to toggle trigs, set a per-step velocity that drives each step's brightness so you can read your dynamics at a glance, and tap "Listen" to grab a track's note straight from a MIDI keypress. Stretch tracks across up to four pages so they loop at different lengths and drift into polyrhythms, then layer in a non-destructive Euclidean pattern on any track, rotating it with a swipe while your hand-placed steps stay put underneath. Like everything in Condukt, drum tracks support recall snapshots, board export and import, and the Recorder, which captures every track at once for live looping.

Painter and the Drum Sequencer both pair with everything else in Condukt, so wire them up, record a take, and see where they take you. 1.4.2 Aug 15 This update adds two brand-new ways to sequence: Painter, where you draw your part onto a grid, and a Drum Sequencer with a classic trig-grid workflow.

Painter and the Drum Sequencer both pair with everything else in Condukt, so wire them up, record a take, and see where they take you. 1.4 Jul 7 Condukt 1.3 is the biggest update since launch: a community of boards to pull from, a looper that captures your playing and exports it as MIDI, a synth inside the app, an envelope editor that reaches into all your hardware, and a much better iPhone layout.

COMMUNITY: BOARDS BUILT BY OTHER CONDUKTERS

The new Community tab is a catalog of boards made by people who use Condukt, ready to install with one tap. See a board built for the synth in front of you? Tap it, install it, and start playing. Every board remembers which synths it controls, so build a Microfreak board you love, share it, and every other Microfreak owner benefits. Boards group into per-manufacturer sections (ELEKTRON, KORG, MOOG, etc) so it's easy to browse by the gear you own. This feature is yours to shape.

THE RECORDER: A LOOPER THAT CAPTURES EVERYTHING

A beat-synced tape looper that captures gestures and notes from anywhere on your board, plays them back in a loop, and exports the take as a MIDI file. Wire it to a Fader, XY Pad, Crossfader, sequencer, or the new MIDI Notes Input, set a tape length, and hit REC. It captures everything routable, and each note replays on the channel it was captured on. Export any tape as a standard MIDI file you can drop into your DAW, and recordings save with the board so a take comes back exactly as you left it.

MIDI NOTES INPUT: BRING IN YOUR KEYBOARD

A new source control that listens to incoming MIDI notes and lights up a grid as you play. Route it into the Recorder and a performance on your external keyboard gets captured straight to tape.

CONDUKT POLY: A SYNTH INSIDE THE APP

Condukt has always controlled your hardware. Now it makes sound of its own. Condukt Poly is the first in-app synth: an 8-voice subtractive instrument with two oscillators, noise, a Moog-style ladder filter, a dedicated filter envelope, and glide. Its parameters route into faders, sequencers, and the Recorder exactly like a hardware synth. A patch editor gives you interactive ADSR envelopes, five factory presets, and Save As. Each channel running Poly gets its own audio instance, so two Polys play side by side. It's a great way to sketch an idea or learn the app without anything plugged in.

ENVELOPES: EDIT THE SHAPE OF ANY SOUND

Condukt 1.3 scans your connected synths and finds their envelopes automatically, surfacing them as interactive curve editors. We found some 553 envelopes across 210 devices! Instead of hunting for attack and decay CCs, you grab the curve and shape it. The editor stays bound to the underlying CCs, so a fader or LFO on the same parameter stays in sync.

A THIRD AXIS FOR THE XY PAD

On iPad with an Apple Pencil, the XY Pad now captures pressure as a third axis. Press harder and Condukt records a Z value alongside X and Y, routable like any other source. Send it to velocity and your gesture's pressure shapes how hard each note hits. The XY Pad recorder can also replay finger gestures up to 100x slower, for great ambient build-ups.

A MUCH BETTER IPHONE

Lots of work to make Condukt feel right on a phone. Board zoom now goes below 1x (0.25x, 0.5x, 0.75x) so you can see more of the grid at once, and zoom saves per board. Horizontal swipes use velocity tiers: a nudge steps one column, a short swipe jumps a viewport, a long flick drifts freely. Controls you add now stack into visible grid slots instead of landing off screen, and multi-channel instrument tiles read better with channel badges.

EVERYTHING ELSE

- Custom MIDI definitions: point an instrument at your own MIDI.guide-format CSV to rename parameters or define a device that isn't in the database yet
- Audio routing follows your gear: plug in an interface or headphones mid-session and the engine follows
- Sharper everywhere: crisper board thumbnails, higher-quality icons, smoother scrolling through big rigs
- Plus a long list of smaller fixes and refinements throughout

If you build a board you're proud of, share it. We can't wait to see what shows up in the catalog. 1.3.1 Jun 4 Condukt 1.3 is the biggest update since launch: a community of boards to pull from, a looper that captures your playing and exports it as MIDI, a synth inside the app, an envelope editor that reaches into all your hardware, and a much better iPhone layout.

1.3.1 Jun 4 Condukt 1.3 is the biggest update since launch: a community of boards to pull from, a looper that captures your playing and exports it as MIDI, a synth inside the app, an envelope editor that reaches into all your hardware, and a much better iPhone layout.

version 1.6

posted on 2026-10-08

Version History Condukt goes modular.

Version History Condukt is now an AUv3 plugin: load your boards in AUM or Logic and let the host drive transport and tempo.

Painter and the Drum Sequencer both pair with everything else in Condukt, so wire them up, record a take, and see where they take you. 1.4.1 Jul 9 Condukt 1.4 adds two brand-new ways to sequence: Painter, where you draw your part onto a grid, and a Drum Sequencer with a classic trig-grid workflow.
